ΒιΆΉΣ³» Performing Arts Announces Auditions for Fall 2021 Productions
ΒιΆΉΣ³» (NVC) Performing Arts has announced auditions for the fall 2021 show lineup, which includes βAll Together Now!β and βA Charlie Brown Christmas,β along with βElf The Musical, Jr.β presented in partnership with Cafeteria Kids Theater.
Music Theater Internationalβs βAll Together Now!: A Global Event Celebrating Local Theaterβ will be directed by Olivia Cowell with music direction by Dr. Christina Howell. ΒιΆΉΣ³» will be joining thousands of theatrical organizations around the globe to present its own version of βAll Together Now!β, featuring some of the most recognizable and well-loved songs from musical theater. In NVCβs production of βAll Together Now!β, both ensemble pieces and solos will be explored over an 8-week rehearsal period. Performances will take place November 12-14 to an in-person audience and live-streamed to a virtual audience.
βA Charlie Brown Christmas,β directed by Jessica Romero, will be performed in repertory with βElf the Musical Jr.β in December as part of ΒιΆΉΣ³»βs family-friendly holiday offerings for the community. The classic animated television special βA Charlie Brown Christmasβ comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation, in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts Gang discover the true meaning of Christmas.
βElf the Musical Jr.,β directed by Olivia Cowell and AimΓ©e Guillot with music direction by Dr. Christina Howell, is based on the beloved holiday film. This hilarious fish-out-of-water comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. This production is produced in partnership with Cafeteria Kids Theater. Auditions for βElf Jr.β are open to ages 12 and above. Detailed information on class tuition and enrollment for cast members 12-15 can be found at . Those cast in the production who are 16 years or older will enroll in the corresponding ΒιΆΉΣ³» Theater Arts course upon admission.
Audition Information:
Auditions for all three productions will take place on the ΒιΆΉΣ³» Performing Arts Center main stage, 2277 ΒιΆΉΣ³» Highway, on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
- Ages 12-15 are invited to audition between 5-6 p.m.
- Ages 12 and up are invited to audition between 6-8 p.m.
- Auditioners should prepare both a 1-minute song from a musical theater production and a joke to share.
- Auditioners should bring a clearly marked copy of piano sheet music for their song selection for the accompanist
All individuals cast in any of the three ΒιΆΉΣ³» fall 2021 productions are required to be fully vaccinated before the start of rehearsals.
