NVC women’s basketball team picks up first win of Bay Valley Conference season

The ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ women’s basketball team completed one of the toughest stretches of the 2021-22 season – five games in eight days, including back-to-back games to start the Bay Valley Conference campaign. The Storm will now head into the Christmas and New Year’s holiday break on a very positive note: with a win that snapped a six-game losing skid.

New workforce training program at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ focuses on lucrative careers in transportation, distribution and logistics

ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ has announced the launch of a new Regional Transportation, Distribution & Logistic (TDL) training program. Developed in partnership with the West Oakland Job Resource Center, this free pre-apprenticeship training will be offered at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ starting January 18, 2022.

ΒιΆΉΣ³»­β€™s Board of Trustees Appoints Dr. Robert Frost Interim Superintendent/President at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­

Dr. Robert (Rob) Frost was named interim superintendent/president at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ (NVC) at a special board meeting on December 9, 2021, announced Jennifer Baker, president, NVC Board of Trustees. Dr. Frost will start his new post effective January 10, 2022.

The Aspen Institute has named ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ as one of the 150 community colleges eligible to compete for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, one of the nation’s highest awards honoring achievement and performance of America’s community colleges.
