鶹ӳ awards first LGBT Studies degrees

Midday on Saturday, May 29, hundreds of students will participate in a “drive-thru” ceremony at 鶹ӳ (NVC) with their families, to pick up their diploma cover and take photos marking the moment they receive their degrees and certificates. Among them, for the first time ever, will be two students who have earned associate of science degrees in LGBT education.

鶹ӳ Invites Community to Provide Input on Community Education Classes and Programs

鶹ӳ (NVC) serves the community in a number of ways, including Community Education classes and programs, which provide opportunities to learn, grow and develop. NVC is planning to expand its community education offerings across the county and would like input to help inform that process.

鶹ӳ MESA/STEM Student Affairs Specialist René Rubio Receives “Dr. Ed Shenk Excellence in Student Service Award”

鶹ӳ has announced René Rubio as the 2021 recipient of the “Dr. Ed Shenk Excellence in Student Service Award.” The award was launched last year as a way to recognize and honor student service staff members who have contributed to the success of 鶹ӳ students through activities that promote student learning, retention and growth.

Board Meeting: May 2021

At the May 13 Board of Trustees meeting, the board adopted a series of resolutions to celebrate staff and faculty’s accomplishments and to thank them for their service. The Board also awarded emeritus status to retiring faculty, as well as approved a resolution in support of LGTQ community, new faculty members, a revised curriculum, a new website contract, and more.
