The following professional learning opportunities support this endeavor:
Distance Education Pedagogy Level 3
Title: Inclusive and Accessible Online Learning
Dates: June 2, 2025 - June 27, 2025
Length: 4 weeks Online
Instructor: Sally Baldwin
Description: Discover how to make your Canvas courses more inclusive and accessible with our "Enhancing Canvas Accessibility with PopeTech and Studio" workshop. Learn to use PopeTech's accessibility checker to improve course materials and Studio's video captioning tool for more inclusive multimedia content. This hands-on workshop equips faculty with the skills to ensure all students have equal access to online courses, meet legal compliance, and enhance the learning experience. Whether new to Canvas or an experienced user, this workshop is your key to creating more inclusive and accessible digital learning environments.
Class Cap: Space is limited to 12 Participants
Compensation: For participation in the workshop, each trainee will be paid according to the districtβs hourly negotiated rate, not to exceed $1000, upon completion of the workshop.
- -This self-paced 8-hour individual class will prepare you with the basic information required to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ students and staff.

Please note that these trainings are a starting point for continued professional learning and should not be approached as a one-and-done training.
